Aida

Betrayal is the only option.

Produced by ENO. A co-production with Houston Grand Opera. A collaboration with Improbable.

Aida is a timeless story of duty, love and betrayal amid the clash of war-torn Egypt. Four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni, this is opera on a grand scale.

Keri-Lynn Wilson conducted Verdi’s score which contrasted swaggering military marches with tender lyricism. Sharing the title role were two sopranos – Latonia Moore and Morenike Fadayomi – both of whom were making their ENO debuts.
