How Improbable can help…

Storytelling is the cornerstone of theatre – and so many other areas of our lives and work. It is the foundation of most good communication. For over 30 years, we have been using improvisation to shape the stories that we have told on some of the biggest stages across the world, to international acclaim. It has won us many awards, including six Oliviers. In these workshops, we help you harness the skills at the heart of this artistic practice as a way of shaping the stories that are important to you, your work, and your audience.

At its core, one of the things that improvisation does best is help generate stories. They can range from the ridiculous to the sublime, the everyday to the more intimate, but almost without fail – they get ideas and energy flowing. The exercises that we practice in these workshops will help you overcome creative blocks, get a flow back when things get stuck, better articulate and refine narrative, and support the generation of content overall. 

In business, this can help with (but is not exclusive to) articulating your vision, identifying strategic objectives, and lead to better connection with both internal and external stakeholders.

Our inaugural Summer Academy was for everyone – anyone who has an idea, a spark, a need to lead, to dream. People who work in the cultural sector, in finance, who are building a wind farm, looking to set up a new organisation or have a nagging question or idea you want to develop in your own work or life.
