New Stories! How we can help devise them.

I wanted to chat about devised theatre as a unique way of creating new original stories and to reflect that at the moment it feels harder than ever to get these new art objects out into the world.

A lovely gentle chat was had on this topic we discussed some possible actions.

In Particular….

Emily- Asked about a forum of devising resources is it a possibility to have a digital meeting place for devisers. Is there one (research needed)

Claudia- wondered along similar lines if there was a union for devisors. (again research needed)

Phelim- Suggested ‘The Wise Risk Award’ could this be given out to theatres who’ve taken a significant risk.  

Alex- Suggested an ‘art card’ that could be placed once per career which would unlock instant funding for an idea that felt potent enough to play the card. Pie in the sky thinking obviously but fun to imagine.
