No Shame in the Retrain

Second and/or other jobs, the escalating polycrisis making these more necessary and making us question where we should be putting our energies. Where shame comes from, systemic devaluing of artists’ work (not just in money and conditions but in interpersonal relationships), class, solidarity, peer support vs systemic support, Universal Basic Income, people ageing out of “emerging” or “youth support” into nothing. The jobs we are doing as well as / as part of being artists: horticulture, coaching, celebrant, web design, childcare, politician, teaching, voiceover, visual minuting.
