We’re looking for people from a variety of backgrounds and with different skills, experiences and stories to join our Board of Trustees and help to influence, develop and support our work.

We are particularly interested in appointing people who could support Improbable in any of these areas:

– Artistic and creative support to the company
– Legal expertise (especially in an arts setting, e.g. forming commercial agreements and establishing subsidiary vehicles)
– Developing our corporate offer (particularly Improbable for Business, and facilitating events for external organisations)
– Fundraising from larger Trusts & Foundations and/or high net worth individuals

Acting as a Trustee is a voluntary, unpaid position.

Improbable’s co-founder and our current Senior Producer Nick Sweeting has decided to leave the company in Spring 2020, after 24 years.

The role of Lead Producer will be a new, full-time and central one within the company, leading on all Improbable’s performance projects after Nick’s departure. The Lead Producer will work with the Artistic Directors and Executive Director to shape Improbable’s work, asking what is and what is not Improbable; be alive to opportunities to create and present Improbable’s work; and create a strategy for how the extraordinary breadth of our work fits together.

The application deadline for this role has now passed. You can view the recruitment pack on our website here.
