Arts Award

Improbable is an Arts Award supporter.

Arts Award’s unique qualifications support anyone aged up to 25 to develop as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through setting personal challenges in the art form of their choice – from fashion to filmmaking, pottery to poetry. Through Arts Award you can gain a nationally recognised qualification enabling you to progress into further education and employment. You not only gain art form knowledge and understanding, but also develop leadership, creativity and communication skills. Arts Award can be achieved at five levels: four accredited qualifications (Explore, Bronze, Silver, Gold) and an introductory level (Discover). The highest level carries UCAS points. You can read more about the scheme and how to get involved here.

Improbable is an Arts Award supporter, and we run occasional projects that can count towards your Arts Award. Recent examples include taking part in workshops to develop one of our shows, or attending an early-stage sharing of a new piece to offer feedback. We also run events like a Mentoring Fete and Devoted & Disgruntled that can help you connect with artists and other creative professionals; and we sometimes offer opportunities for people aged 18 and over to volunteer at our events or gain office experience.

Details of any current projects will be listed below. If you’d like to know more or have any questions, feel free to email us on office@improbable.co.uk
